Topic: The lab of dispair

This morning was yet another rainy morning. So I decided to do the long overdue cleanup of what used to be my lab.
I was really pumped up. Dreaming of putting B&W film I have leftover in the freezer in my camera.
Everything seemed nice when, all of a sudden...
Horror! I was struck by a very unsightly sight when I lifted a corner of the vinyl floor that was laid there years ago.
The ground is covered by multiple colonies of red, black and white fungus (Yuck).

Moral of the story: never put unglued vinyl flooring directly on concrete!

The lab building will go ahead... but only after I figure out a way to get rid of this stuff without poisoning myself!

fungus, mold, mildew - it's a way of life here in the pacific NW.  Allergy control & workspace issues (at least) are always at the forefront.

I think I'll be able to get rid of it with a healthy dose of TSP and then chucking everything which is soft fabric in the bin... or at least that's what the lady at the home improvement store said...

Can't wait to get the place squeaky clean.
Maybe it'll prompt me to shoot some B&W again. Last weekend, I got at a garage sale 2 rolls of Fuji Acros 100 (120 format) for 1.50$ each... and they expire in 2011 
If I'm going to use it, I need a decent place to process it
