look what the postman brought me today!
« on: September 26, 2009, 05:06:13 PM »
I am one lucky monkey!  look what I've got.  It's not actually mine, but I've got it on loan from Robert White for a review feature in an up and coming Black and White photography magazine.  I'm desperate to tell you all what I think so far ... but I cant.  Does anyone know if this has been reviewed anywhere else yet?  I've not seen any, maybe I'll be the first published one?  Either way, to hold the first new manual MF camera to come on the market since ... not sure, maybe since the mamiya 7II??? it's a great honour.  Hope I dont drop it or anything  :o

Don't know about existing reviews for the camera, but I remember seeing it announced (in BJP?)  Looks like you're going to have fun...

Don't forget, testing things like that is hard work ;)

Have fun with it Leon. I'll look forward to reading the review

Yikes! They feel glorious to use eh Leon? I've played with a few myself, and the overall solid feel is tremendous. It has of course been reviewed before a number of times in Japanese, but I've not seen anything from a Britisher.

Have fun! Skj.

Don't worry too much. It's on open secret that motoring journalists stack their test cars all the time..

You obviously ain't seen any of the recent camera reviews in B&W. Awfull!

I'm sure Leon will do much better though.

There's a brief review in English on Japan Exposures.

Lucky chap. I'm jelous but also very pleased. Your review will be about a FILM camera.
Anything film was distinctly lacking in the latest B+W. Mild rant over!

Hi Diane - this is an old thread that Peter revived having read my review (I assume). The camera turned out to be less than great, so I wouldn't be too envious ;)

Overpriced and underwhelming is my general opinion.
