Midweek large format messings with interesting lenses
« on: April 15, 2010, 07:15:01 PM »
I've finally managed to take the shen hao out and about. I've been messing with a 105mm industar lens/shutter assembly taken off the front of a defunct Moskva 5.  It doesnt quite cover 4x5, but I like that because it give a kind of 4x5 holga effect - vignette and focus fall off.  Especially when movements are employed.  the first one here is my normal 150mm then the rest are all the 105mm.

I tend to like the orchids...
Absolutely nothing wrong with that lens :)

(I just hope you have plenty of lensboards :) )

Wonderful stuff and, if it were me, that normal 150mm lens would be consigned to the bottom of the bag to loiter amongst other unused stuff.

Adventures in the land of Large Format..though "yard art" is not too exciting!

thanks everyone ... Diane - it's great fun playing around with these cameras isnt it?  Is that giant truck really in your garden?  that looks like quite a beast.

Leon....my husband has decided he wants to collect old trucks..all at least 50 years old one is 60 years..thinking that is this one..We now have 5..luckily we have many acres with lots of tress so everyone doesn't see them as they drive by..somewhat hidden...
All but one actually runs..I really try to pretend they are just "visiting" but the truth is they will prolly stay!   YARD ART!
