What camera is it for?

Well, Hasselblad are honest and reliable, but, damn expensive!

However, a while back I got a lens stuck on mine - tried to put it on when not cocked or something like that. Anyway, it wasn't budging. Anyway, I called them and he said I had two options. I could send it to them and they would deal with it, or, if I had a strong nerve, good eyesight and a small screwdriver he would talk me through it. I went for the strong nerve route and after about 30 minutes my camera was fixed for free!

You don't get that kind of service often.

I have nothing but praise for them even though a slightly lighter wallet at times

Far be it from me to put my self forward (but I'm going to anyway) but I've fixed several Electros. I have a couple here at the mo' (one of which I promised to Chops if I can get around to putting new seals in it).

PM me the details and I'll let you know what I think.

was it the screw in front when the lens is off, or from the back - behind the curtains?  If the former, there's a relatively inexpensive tool made by hasselblad just for that.  mine locks up on occasion - typically when switching from the film magazine to a pola back. It's the rear screw on mine....

Gregor, it was a few screws. I had to release one from inside the curtains that removed a small plate, that in turn revealed another that had to be turned all one way, to the quote the technician, "the lens should then fall off in your hand, assuming you are ready to catch it" quite the jokers at Hasselblad. But, it did and then all I had to do was reverse the actions - kind of easier done than said as the screw that holds the plate is so damn tiny and you are trying to get it inside the body. Tape on the screwdriver solved it.

It seems no big deal typing it, but, it felt like open heart surgery whilst I was doing it. I was also amazed that they were happy to do this over the phone at no cost! Perhaps I need to revise my opinion of all companies being after your money at whatever cost.

Anyway, I shan't forget to cock the shutter again before messing with the lens!
