Topic: how much film do you have to waste?

I've been buying film lots off of ebay for a while, but it wasn't until I put them all together in one place that I saw how much film I'd accumulated. Over 1000 rolls dating from the mid-eighties to fresh.

The expired film has to live in the basement. My girlfriend gets annoyed if I fill the fridge with film. I'm hoping to waste quite a bit this weekend.

As someone on lj pointed out to me, it is only around eight rolls of film for each of my cameras...

You know, if you really want to waste all this film really fast, you could go for a Guinness World Record!

Or, you could send a few rolls to all Filmwaster Forum members... We wouldn't mind finding something in our mailboxes

I loaded up ten cameras this weekend to start seeing how the film that expired in the eighties looks.

I've got six digital cameras at the moment...

(it is my 150 or so film cameras that get fed by that pile).

after i see how some of the really old stuff shoots, i may start up a project to share some of it out.

I wish, just regular Konica-Minolta 35mm. I must say the 1985 expired Fujicolor does some amazing colorshifts.

What's all that blue box stuff at the back? If you have an Agfa slide film that you don't need I'll trade it for hard cash.

Great photo by the way    It's wonderful finding a fellow non-pro who actually has more film than I have. My own collection is pretty big running at about 150 rolls of various formats + 20 odd packs of Polaroid. I'll make sure that my wife gets a look at this lot.

The blue boxes in the back are 290 rolls of Sooterchrome slide film (a Canadian store's house brand) all expired in the mid-nineties. I've shot a couple rolls of it and it cross processes with a nice red tint. The only Agfa slide film I have is four rolls of Scala.

My girlfriend just rolls her eyes at me.
