So, anyone bought any bargains yet, in the after Christmas sales?

I'm on the hunt for a scanner, have been looking at the Epson V700, was hoping I might be able to pick up one at a reduced price (I am prone to delusions) but, as yet have not seen any that I would consider a bargain (again with the delusions)  anyone know of anywhere UK based?

Is it okay to discuss retailers here?


Also, where do you all buy 120 Negative holders?

hi Sinead - happy xmas.  Assuming you mean neg storage by "120 neg holders" - i get them from 7 day shop dot com or silverprint dot co dot uk.

If you mean 120 neg holders fro scanning - i make my own from  mount board.

I was also wondering about the scanning holders too, I've heard people saying the ones provided are a bit flimsy.

I guess it depends on two things: scanner model and how rough you are with your stuff. The hinge in my holder is a bit flimsy I must admit, but with a bit of care, it's not too bad as long as you don't force anything...

As for shopping, stores officially open in 1 hour 45 minutes
And I'll be hitting a few places that's for sure

By the way, did you find shoes to match the green Olympus?

Francois - No, no fancy shoes to match the Trip yet, but, don't worry, I'll get them eventually! Just ordered a scanner too!
