Hi....
« on: October 26, 2009, 07:13:58 AM »
from Ian in Stornoway.

Thanks to Andrea for directing me to the website.

Andrea has been inspirational in dragging me from the digital dark-side back to film photography, and is responsible for me taking my old Rollei 35's out of store (a B35 and a 35T). More recently I've acquired an old Canon EOS 1000FN from Ebay and Andrea has given me an old Essex tank and a lesson in developing. So I'm now developing and scanning my own work, and am completely hooked

A pic of me taken by my daughter using the ebay Canon.

That's one saved.

I say we build on it and get a bunch of those guys who save people from cults, and we stand outside the next photo expo with butterfly nets to 'capture' those poor, misguided digigeeks.

Hi Windy. Great to have another body here...especially one with such a talented daughter  :)

Andrea; do we need to call you The Interventionist or something from now on?

Hi Ian. Nice to have you here. I've been developing some film tonight, 3 rolls of 35mm and 2 of 120, listening to Cowboy Junkies and supported by a glass or two of red wine. Sweet.

cheers all - although a film convert I still use digital on occasions I'm afraid.

Andrea - thanks for the compliment  ???

A pic of the talented daughter (I don't give her enough pocket money for film)
