fuji FP 100B45/FP 100C45 4x5 peel apart
« on: July 26, 2009, 11:49:13 PM »
Anyone tried the Fuji FP 100b45 or 100c45?

I just ran across it for the 1st time yesterday (new item at my supply store). They also have a 4x5 back.  Don't know if it's any different than my grapflex 4x5 back so I'm taking my back into the store before giving the film a shot.  I would assume the film works in any standard 4x5 pack film back.

i've been told that the fuji 45s and the polaroid films use different backs. i haven't used either, so i'm just going by what others have said, but the films aren't compatible i guess (the are put together differently and the dev process is different?) and you need a fuji back for the fuji film.

Hi!
i informed myself some time ago about this (never got a Graflex so i had to postpone the test...) but if i remember right you need the "Polaroid 550"-Back in order to use the Fuji 4x5 Filmpacks.- or the Fuji Back.

Sean I think the dev time is a bit faster. I'm guessing it's the same as the 100b & c, the packs are thicker than Polaroid packs. I suppose for 29 bucks I could give it a shot in my 4x5 graflex back. Anyway, I'm planning on taking my back to the supply store and seeing just how much of a difference there us-if any.

have a 550 back - just am hesitant as the 100b & 100c (especially the latter) have proved to be difficult in other backs and expect the 100B45  100C45 to be equally temperamental. Personally I'm not up to paying for another back and will likely wait for the impossible project to release a 4x5 film - even though that wait may be a good couple or more years).....

If fuji was making pos/neg film that would sway me to buy their back !

Used the smaller (not 4x5) versions of the films in polaroid backs - no problem at all.
Also used the fuji films in the 350 Land camera - no problem after removing the electric timer.
you should give it a try!

I've used the fuji peel apart films  and not without problems (this is in a couple of other threads here). It's ok, but not the same as Polaroid films. The fuji film is all my local supplier sells and it's fine in a pinch, though for as long as I can get it, a couple of out of town suppliers have 664 & 669 on a regular basis.  Seems like I can't seem to sync up my orders with when I run out ;/) so the locally available fuji comes in handy then!
