Weekend Thread: May 15-17, 2009
« on: May 16, 2009, 03:23:24 AM »
Greetings all,
Here are some new photos; the first one was taken with a 1920s Pocket Kodak Junior No. 1 and Kodak Ektar 100 (in the new 120 size). The others were taken with a Ricoh GR1s and Ilford XP2. :D

Here's a couple from last weekend, haven't used slide film in years.
Velvia 50, M6 and 50mm lens.
First is a late evening wander a couple of miles from home.
Second one is a little wood I stumbled across, with the most spectacular blue bells!

Here's a couple from a month or two ago that I've been working on today for an exhibition next month. They're in the same series as the postcard I sent recently. Voigtlander Bessa R2, Neopan 400 in Rodinal 1+50. Post processed in Lightroom.

Cheers

As Chops has started the bluebell theme...

This was my entry to pinhole day. Taken few weeks ago of course but thanks to the lab taking two weeks to get them back to me, I've only just done something with them.

Loving all the bluebells this week! And I really love the sheep shot :)

I picked up a yashica electro 35 GSN on ebay the other week and developed my first roll this weekend :)

Tri-x 400 in t-max, rubbish neg scans as usual :)

My beautiful hounds being nosy:

And the haunted, slightly deranged look of somebody who has been playing Assassin's Creed for just a smidge too long :) :)

I think this camera is yummy :)

Hope you have all had a splendid weekend!
Clare xx

wavebeat - can I ask what film you're using.  You get such nice heavy colours .... sort of agfa ultra-ish ... but you cant get that any more can you?

finally i get to contribute to a weekend thread!

Had a weekend down in Cornwall.   All usual UK treats, bleak beaches,  horizontal rain, hail &  warm beer...in fact I dont think it could really have got any better.

only just got back so 'roids thus far,  also managed a few film shots...they will take a little longer.

Tinm@n - love those sx70 shots! The blear and blur of the flowers is fabulous.

And wavebeat - those colors are wonderful!  Love the dappled light in that last post of yours.

My favorite is the beach scene This-is-damion shot :)  Just where I'd like to be.

And in breaking news, db takes a b/w picture that is actually sharp. Although with this mother of a camera and a 300mm close to wide open,  correct focus was as much luck as management. This just a test shot, but I'm working myself up to do a series of b/w portraits on 5x4.

A little unsure about the images of the god children though - seems to take away from the gravitas somewhat but they are what Sandy wanted to show.

Talk soon, Carl

great pics as ever ... Don, I'm liking the portrait and looking forward to seeing more, and Hookstrapped - that spiral flare on the Diana is superb.

here's a shot from last weekend in Seaford, when I should have been revising:

Thanks Leon - I have also noticed the correlation with photographers and hounds! I don't know why, maybe its because they are more aesthetically pleasing  :D?

Your dogs are beautiful btw!
