Topic: Filmwasters Collaboration #17 - "Me by Me"

ALL registered Filmwasters are cordially invited to participate in, "Me by Me", our 16th collaboration and the first of 2009; due by May 3rd at 10pm GMT

Basic requirements: (besides being shot on film of course)

Theme: "Me by Me: a collection of self-portraits"
Please note: A self-portrait means a photo you have taken of yourself. You might laugh, but we ran this as a collaboration on a different forum many years ago and some people sent in photos of themselves, taken by other people, or photos they'd taken of other people (I can't remember which, but it defied belief).

Submission Deadline:  Sunday May 3rd 2009

JPEG Requirements:  ONE JPEG . 72dpi.  Not larger than 600-750 ppi. in width and length. No more than 200kb.

PLEASE LABEL YOUR IMAGE WITH TITLE AND YOUR NAME. 
FOR EXAMPLE, "ME LOOKING HAPPY - IAN CURTIS"

**ALSO INCLUDE IN YOUR EMAIL. **

1. Title
2. A few SENTENCES explaining how you've interpreted the theme with this shot.
2. The camera, process and/or type of film used
3. Your website or blog address that you'd like listed

EMAIL YOUR SUBMISSIONS to Filmwasters [at] gmail.com
**AND WRITE "COLLAB" in the subject line.

OK, it seems there will have to be one rule in the new collab guidelines. To whit, "If your name's Phil Bebbington then you're not allowed to take another photo of your ar*e!".

Good point, Nigel. It's been a tradition here since the get go in 2005 to run regular collaborations, but I forgot that we've had a load of new people sign up to the forum this year and as this is the first of 2009 there will definitely be some amongst you who won't have seen the previous collaborations. Usually the theme is a little bit more challenging, but a few of us had been meaning to try a self-portrait for a while & a Filmwasters collaboration will be just the kick up the Khyber that we need to get us going.

Hi All,

Just a quick post to say thanks to the millions who sent in their submissions. They've all been logged at Central Booking and are queued ready for the Gallery Assembly Dept to get to work. Unfortunately, due to that department receiving a lengthy and unscheduled visit from a blinds salesman tonight (don't ask) the gallery will now not be ready until tomorrow evening UK time (let's say around midnight to give me...ahem, the Department a bit more time). Apologies for the delay.

Sean's self-portrait seems to have been tragically 'lost' in the handover from Central Booking to Gallery Assembly and now won't feature in the final exhibition. Any other dissent will be met with the same treatment.
