Weekend Thread: March 28-29 2009

Howdy all,
Here are several shots taken yesterday with  one of my new toys, an early 50s German TLR called a Flexora II, made by the Lippische Company. These were taken with Kodak VC 160 film.

Lovely day that started with a snow-storm then turned to warm sunshine and not even a breeze. Spent the day fank-hunting on Harris.

I've been busy catching up on my scanning. These from a couple of weeks ago in London.

Holga 120N & Kodak 400VC.

Peter - second and sixth shots are great.
Wildberry - lovely colours from that VC, punchy yet muted

Developed my second (though first successful!) 120 film from my new Ensign 6x9, but no way of scanning on my flatbed - unless anyone has a crafty idea?

Can you cheat and make a template witht black art board to lay the negs in and then scan?
Not being able to scan sucks big time, let's figure this out..
What model scanner are you using.

Maybe we should move this to it's own thread so as not to hi-jack the weekend stuff?

To respond to the scanning thing..I  made a template frame (from black foam core) and put black tape wrapped around the edges that the film would butt up against..because I had inadvertently threw away my original film frames..I know..stupid..just wasn't thinking about what I was  doing and besides it was before I really knew what I was doing with the scanner..

No photos from me this week, but I was out shooting today. We spent the weekend in Gloucester and at the last min I grabbed a couple of 35mm SLRs as we were packing the car (I've not done a lot of shooting recently because I've been  getting my LF rig together & selling old MF stuff on evilBay). Anyway, the weather was amazing so I shot a couple of rolls as we tooled around the Gloucester docks and later the cathedral...although I'm not really a cathedral-taking-photographer at heart, but I had a go anyway.

So, just to let you know I was out there filmwasting away. On the streets. Keeping it real.

Sean, Ken & I hanging on for grim death, as the wind 60m up whipped the prints from our mouths, and nearly took us over the edge too... More to follow I am sure.

Here a few more from the other part of my weekend (yesterday). The first one was taken with a 1930s Zeiss Ikon Box Tengor 54; the rest were done with an early 1970s Olympus Trip 35.
