This is going a bit farther than I'm willing to go as far as loving cameras, but it's crazy cool too.

It's nice work... but not for me.
Just the thought of having a needle pricked into my skin thousands of times is a bit of a turn off...

Oh yeah, I even know how Im going to do it. On the left wrist, the closed leaf shutter will be on the inside of my wrist and the band going around the outside will be a strip of film. Very thin so it almost looks like a chain. Oh yeah. Im excited! Thanks for posting the topic Becky and thanks for posting the link Leon.

What would be really cool for the film tattoo you want to get done is to have some images put on the film using UV ink. The images can only be viewed under blacklight... like developing a mystery image.

I know not every tattoo shop do UV ink jobs... and it's the only type which can't be removed with a laser.
The ink is very runny and they need an assistant to hold a blacklight over the drawing so the artist knows where he's actually worked.

Probably very cool... Saw it on the Daily Planet on Discovery...

As for me... I'm not much into this type of permanent thing.

So cool! I do want a Rolleiflex as a tatoo if I ever get one... Perhaps my Baby Rollei, and it wont hurt that much?

Tattoos mark important things for me. I have three. The first one is all about my dancing hula. The second is all about my change in religious thinking. The third was all about my son leaving home. I thought the fourth would be when I got my black belt, but now I think a film tattoo might be more significant. Or maybe I'll get two tats on the same day.  ;)

I would totally get a camera tattoo. probably something in just black though. although I havent fallen in love with any one camera enough to get it put on me forever. a friend of a friend has an LC-a tattoo (BLUrGH... thats the sound of vomit) maybe concider a very small black SX-70 on my arm somewhere. im more likely to get a music tattoo first though... or the HST gonzo symbol on my wrist which has been a dream for ages... man I miss disposable income.

I love these temporary tattoos - a lot of them are camera related.  I've been meaning to do some sort of self portrait with a fun temporary tat.  We need a filmwasters one!  :)  http://tatt.ly/

Tatoos from Paris, Diane. How surprised my lovely engineering caddy would be :) Lets do it! Or perhaps just buy some of those fake tatoos in the link, and be crazy for a week or so. (well, I'm middleaged, it doesn't get more crazy than that ).  ::)

Here's mine :)

First image is take with a PX-70 on Impossible PX100 a while back.  So not the greatest image to see the detail of the tat.  The other color images are crappy cell phone pics taken soon after each session (3 in all totaling 7 hrs) The top camera is a Nikon FM2N (my first camera) and the bottom camera is a Holga.  The center design is the symbol from my Luna Pro light meter with a roll of 35mm film winding through.  Eventually I plan on adding to it to make it a full sleeve.
