« on: February 06, 2008, 10:00:37 AM »
everyone should now have a personal message from me with a name and address to send your print to, and the name of the person sending to you.

the sign up thread is now locked - please post here when you receive your print

Just a quick thing - I realise I can be very slow witted sometimes - but do we have a nominal deadline, as in a rough finish date?

Does that mean I shouldn't be expecting to receive your print by the end of the week mark?  ;)

One will be in the darkroom this weekend, if I can manage to print anything half decent, I might extend to two copies... But to be honest I will probably need weeks before I get it right!

I got a really gorgeous print in the mail from Otto K just the other day. Now I have to get my act together as well but I'm trying to do something a little different this time so it may take a little while before I can get it ready to ship...

Thanks Rolo - great shot! The toycameraness gives it a kind of haunting feel.
What camera?

Karl - I have finally made it into the darkroom and the print is drying right now. Will have it in the post as soon as it is dry and flat!

Thanks, Stu!  Glad the photo made its journey OK.  That photo was taken with one of my not-such-a-toy toy cameras -- a Franka Solida Record T.  The interesting thing about it is that it was designed to take either 6X6 or 4X4 pix (with a mask at the film plane) on 120 film.  I shoot it in 6X6 mode and it vignettes nicely.  The photo was taken on Agfa RSXII 200 E6 film that was cross-processed in C41.  I then jiggered around with the color balance in Photoshop to get the almost normal but oddly washed out look that you now hold in your hands.  Enjoy!

This, BTW, is the photo I sent to Stu:

Just had delivered two, yes two wonderful, beautifully matted prints from Jason - for which many thanks. One superb cyanotype and a fantastic B&W print.
Feeling a bit guilty for not matting the ones I sent out now.

So this is like the blind print exchange on APUG where you send a print to someone and get one back from someone different? If so, sounds easy enough for me to do. I'm still not sure why I keep signing up to the postcard exchange over there  :o

Why dont you drop Ailsa an email - I'm sure it's just an oversight.
