Interesting choice, I think I prefer the 2nd as it leaves more to the imagination.  But I was drawn by the idea of the half finished building soring over the alleyways - hi tech glass and steel with wheely bins in the foreground.

I used my trusty Canon EOS5, Ilford film at 125 and a 35-70mm lens.
