My cards have just arrived from the printer, so they will be posted today. Thank you for all the cards received so far - I especially like Shaun's view of Dorset.

Last night I got Harvey's card.
I'm really surprised by the tones on that tree. Looks like charcoal. Sweet.

All mine have been shipped out! I actually made two different images this time and I can't quite remember which I sent to whom, so it will be a surprise for both of us. So far I've received a dog, a ribbon on a fence, and a scene from the American West, all of which I really enjoyed! So fun to see all the different approaches to capturing and printing these.

I want to thank you all for the cards that have popped through the letter box over the last week, a wonderfully varied selection of shots.
I have decided to tone the prints so I will get my cards out soon just waiting for some dev trays so I can selenium tone them

Wonderful cards today from Harvey, Francois and grit .
Fabulous all!
The piano tuner from grit is especially a treasure.
Harvey's tree is sublime.
The bridge lift from Francois is really cool.

This is so far a fun and varied exchange

Now do I have a story for y'all!
Just a minute ago, I see an old rusted-out Jeep park in front of the house and a guy with a plaid lumberjack coat and a tuque come out and ring at the door. I was really wondering what's up with that. He told me that he lives in an apartment on the following street and that he found a postcard lying on the sidewalk. So he proceeded to deliver it since "nobody sends hand written letters anymore".
It turns out it was Ryan's Piano Tuner postcard!
The image is in perfect shape, corners barely rounded.
Now that it what I call a stoke of luck. He definitely is a good person!  8)
I should add that the mailman came yesterday at 8:30pm... And it has been just sitting there on the sidewalk for all that time without anybody stepping on it.

That's something I worry about when I mail my cards, it would be easy for them to slip between a crack or get lost somehow.  I printed a few extra so if someone didn't get one I can send another.  I mailed all of them on April 8, hopefully they all made it to their destinations by now.

Must be your lucky day Francois, hope you used it well! People do those kind of deeds here as well, but here it could easily have been gone with the wind.

That's what usually happens to my mail... especially when we have an illiterate mailman (it happened more than once).

Same, I have a few spare ones. But I finally posted them only yesterday morning so don't expect them next Monday… Sorry, it took way longer than I wanted!

Just got Zapsnaps' South African sun last night.
One more for the collection 😊

And great news, the mailman got a headlamp! So there shouldn't be any more lost mail 😊

It is the kind of picture where at first you don't know what is going on, then you keep looking at it as days pass and you make up a story.

I got early mail today... not a common thing these days.
Even less common is a very well protected photo in a cardboard mailer!

I wonder if Irv found a monster in that Loch? 😁

BTW, the stamp hasn't even been canceled by Royal Mail 😉

Today I received a very nice "astronomical" card  from David, thanks! There was not supposed to be any delivery of post today, but when they deliver parcels they also bring along any other post they may have for you. Every day is a new surprise when you open your letterbox.  :o

Today I received Irv's toned image, very nice! Selenium is a very versatile substance, in addition to it's use in light meters and toning I'm taking it every morning as a supplement.

Received a very nice card from Phil this morning, thanks! I had to peel away a yellow strip of magnetic tape to be able to read who sent it. I've never seen this thing in use here domestically.

Sad to have missed this year's exchange, but through a combination of factors I've hardly picked up a camera for the last year or so, which has somewhat reduced my visits here.

Tidying the desk this week, I came across a tin full of cards from previous years' exchanges, so I made a coffee and spent a little time with them, which cheered the soul.

Glad to see the community remains active, and will be keen to see everyone's postcards when you start posting them up.
Will try to drop in more frequently, and hopefully time and inspiration might align for me.
Take care all.

8 or 9 feels about right to me. We're having some building work done at home though, so the house is in complete disarray. I have at least 3 different piles of them scattered around. I have Irv's wonderful Loch Goil postcard right here by my keyboard, but the ones that arrived earlier have gone walkabouts. I need to track them down and add them to my FW Postcard Exchange scrapbook.

BTW, Tony (Kentish Cobb) makes a good point: should we add the images here? Maybe someone more organised than I can arrange them artfully somewhere and take a phone cam snap and post here. After reading Francois' story about his card that almost went AWOL, I'm wondering whether I received all of mine, but I am fairly confident that I did. Still, it would be great to see them together.
