Well.... good old Firefox has kept the password even with an email that has no use anymore... how are you guys doing after all these years??

So far, things have grown a bit more quiet since the last time you dropped-by.
But it seems like everybody is going well.

I've slowed down my photography because I take care of elderly parents and have a lot of work to do on the house. I work very part-time at a small charity book shop, scratching pennies. But I really shouldn't complain.

I've just begun doing cyanotypes. I just did a calibration of my exposures in my DIY exposure box. I now need to make adjustment curves so that my inkjet negatives give me the best results.

So, what have you been up to all these years?

I'm quite busy here doing my masters, shooting less and less film since they've become so expensive in my country. I'm devoting all my efforts to the alternative processes, which is kind of cool making things from scratch.

I must admit that there is something very zen about spreading a pool of chemicals on a sheet of cheap watercolor paper with a brush.
I have been using a foam brush but I am going to order an Hake brush on Aliexpress. That should make the spreading much better.

I wouldn't say watercolour paper is cheap (although it can be cheaper than photographic paper  ) but yes, is wonderful. I use mostly cotton balls and glass rod when using silver nitrate, it saves you money and it won't accumulate dirt.

I got pads of 20 sheets of 300 GSM paper from the dollar store for 3.75$ a pad, so it ain't that bad. It's hot pressed paper and I discovered that it has a distinct micro-textured pattern on the surface, so for my next prints I'm going to slightly rough-up the surface with sandpaper so I get a more even coating.

Hello old friend! It's great to see you here and I'm glad Firefox came to the rescue. Even I am around again on FW more frequently and I've been inspired by my daughter's use of film - photography and Super 8 - to start taking more photos again. It's been a lot of fun. I presume you're still pushing the boundaries and doing lots of super cool photo stuff? Hey, I even heard that you did an album cover last year?

Hello old friend! It's great to see you here and I'm glad Firefox came to the rescue. Even I am around again on FW more frequently and I've been inspired by my daughter's use of film - photography and Super 8 - to start taking more photos again. It's been a lot of fun.
