Starting things off with the results from my latest contraption!
What do you think?
This was taken on some Fomapan 100 and developed in HC-110 dil. B

That's a crazy lens Francois!  I think your highlights are a little blown out, were those taken in daylight?  Neat effect though.

I have more 9X12 film shot in New Mexico and Arizona.  The first one was taken with an ICA Toska, the other two were taken with a Zeiss Ikon ICA Trona.  The first two were shot on Kodak Plus-X pan expired 11/1981, the last one was Fomapan 100.  All developed in Kodak HC-110 dilution B.

The first one was taken in daylight and the second one at night.
The big problem is the fixed aperture. I tried to make some sort of waterhouse stop but there's so little space in there that my prints just broke when I tried to remove all the supports that were needed to make this work.
In daytime, I'd really need to have some really low iso film to make this work as this lens gathers so much light.
For the night shot I was at probably 1/250... it's something I'd never experienced before. And you tend to get in trouble with the film's sensitivity range that can't handle the difference.

You could make a mount behind the lens, close to the camera body, where you can mount filters.  That way you can control the exposure with colored or ND filters.

A couple of interesting accidents from a Vito C with an apparently sticky shutter.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

I thought about it but it would involve taking out four screws for every change.
Thing is that the mount actually sticks in the lens housing.
I could have fixed this by redesigning the entire lens housing, but I just don't have the heart to go through all this work (it's not an easy part to design so that it could print properly without any problems)

Francois, that is pretty cool. I like the glowiness of it.
Bryan, I'm sure you must be glad to be home. It was great to meet you in person and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photos from NM.  Meteor City is ever changing. The graffiti especially!

Becky, I really enjoyed meeting you as well.  I have a good backlog of photos I need to develop, edit and post so more to come.  Even though I enjoyed my time in New Mexico and Arizona it's great to be home.  After 3 months my wife has a long list of stuff that needs to be done around the house so that's cutting into my time to deal with film.

How come we can't have cities with cool names like that around here?

Considering the reason Meteor City is called what it is, you might not want a big hole in the neighborhood...
Or then maybe you would..

There are a lot of places around here that I'd replace with a big meteor crater! Only problem is the heat such an impact would make... that's the not so fun part of it.

Yeh, the impact takes all the fun out of it.
