Weekend September 10-12
« on: September 10, 2021, 03:08:33 PM »
September is really zooming by...

Something weird and wonderful happened on the way to the Moon...

This is a diana f+ photo made while holding the camera up to the eyepiece of my telescope during the last Full blue moon.
It has a neat little leak that made the moon rather interesting.
Georges Méliès would probably like this one....

That's definitely 1920's movie material :)

Becky, that looks like a solar flare coming off the moon!

I shot some Kodak Max 400 shot with my Chinon SLR using a KMZ Helios 44 58mm f/2 lens.  The first one in from Painted Desert National Park.  The other two are from Lupton, Arizona near the New Mexico boarder.

Photographed with a Chinon SLR camera using a KMZ Helios 44 58mm f/2 lens.  The film is Kodak Max 400.

I just returned from a three month long vacation (don't know if you can still call it vacation when you are retired?). Every year I shoot some of my remaining stock of type 100 Polaroid film to see that they are still working. The expiry date is 2014 for the Fuji FP-3000B, but they still give good results. I wonder if they get more light sensitive when they age, I had to shoot these at 12800 ISO to get the correct exposure.

That sky!!! 😲 I can't believe that's just humble Kodak Gold/Ultramax/Max.

That's what it said on the cassette.  Purchased a box of four rolls at a drug store with the intent to redscale but I decided the Painted Desert would look better with all the colors.  Maybe it was the bright Arizona sun and the high altitude (over 5,000 feet).

Poor Miguel has gone back to the army so he can't see how lovely Philly is right now. I must text him a reminder.  ;D

Shot some 7 year out of date SFX200 120 with an R72 filter. ISO25 dipped in Ilfosol 3. There's a lot of mottling present so I softened the scans to partly hide it. I'll probably bin the remaining film I have.

Or just use it for that effect.
Adding a bit of benzotriazole to the developer should help fix that problem.
