A day on the trains...
« on: December 11, 2007, 01:55:23 PM »
Artsyken and I packed up and off early on Saturday, a pile of film, and a lot of trains, and a million people. Some took the time to pose. GR-1 with FujiPro 400, and Polaroid 195 with Type-665. Field processing the Type-665 a million km from home was a challenge...

They are all wonderful, but the second one with its vintage feel is a particular favourite.

I met with Skorj earlier this week for lunch and fine conversation. I received some background information on some of the above shots and the story behind the third shot is wonderful and an excellent advert for the benefits of shooting polaroid in this instant gratification digital world. I won't go in to the story now as it would be much better told by Skorj through this post or on a future podcast. Fine work.

It's always great to hook up with Skorj....Where have I met up with him?  Hmmm.  Let's see...Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and now Mumbai.   I recommend trying to meet up with him!  Amazing guy!!

Here are a few shots from Mumbai.  Can you spot Skorji?

Damn! That first one is wicked. I did not even see you shoot this fellow. Classic. Still annoyed too I thought for ages about what I wanted to capture, tried all day, and then you showed it to me it in the last photograph here. Perfect feel of the Western Line...

Can you spot Skorji?

Wiping the taxi? Ha! Thanks for a great day; Polaroid camera, did not get sick, robbed, or bombed, a perfect day. Skj.
