Weekend July 10 to 12, 2020
« on: July 10, 2020, 06:53:26 PM »
Having fun with my Primo Jr using a Rondo Close-up Lens.  The film is Ilford HP5+ developed in Rodinal 1:50 (temporarily out of beer).  The first one is a dog we were watching for a friend, Isabella.

Out of beer? That sounds like a much bigger problem than not being able to develop film ;D

I should have said out of cheap beer, but I'm re-stocked now.

I had intended to go to the Salk Institute and take some "brutiful" pics there, but we were stopped by the security who said that they were not allowing people on campus. This is basically because people are awful and can't bring themselves to respect anything these days. So we drove the extra 1/4 mile to the Torrey Pines Glider Port and spent some time there. Not a completely wasted trip.

No, that stock is gone, but I have 2 more 100' rolls I bought fairly cheap on auction. This one expired just recently (1996). I think the one I shared with you had expired in 1981. But I agree that this film is beautiful as either C41 or ECN2 ( I have never developed a single roll as E6). This day was a little gloomy, so the colorful wings didn't pop as much as I would have liked. Also, my Windows10 partition decided to corrupt itself, so I am scanning with Linux now and the tools aren't quite as easy to use.

Get your hands on Hiren's Boot CD (https://www.hirensbootcd.org/)
It's full of tools and it runs in a windows interface. It's got everything you need to restore the MFT and tons of other stuff.

Also, booting from the Windows install media often also works...

The immature robin bounced off something and landed in front of me. He didn't seem interested in my help, so I took his picture. After a few minutes of staring at me, taking his picture, he staggered, then flew off.

Great shots everyone! I'm a bit late to the party, but here are a few shots from this weekend. A friend built a bike from the ground up and we went out to celebrate, and I snapped a few shots in the process.

This one was with Kodak PMC 400 expired in 1995 (shot at ASA 50) and the Pentax 6x7 with the 105mm 2.4

These two with the same camera setup but using Fuji 64T Xpro in C41.
