Title: Double Trouble
Post by: astrobeck on July 07, 2017, 07:15:18 AM
I've never been a big fan of deliberate double exposures, but on a whim, tried some last week.

These were made with an expired Kodak disposable camera that I reloaded with the roll that came with it. Reloading is not too terribly hard as long as you disable the battery and the flash zapper!
800 speed film, which is not as grainy as I expected it might be.

Really love the second shot, makes me want to go out for a "pointless drive" - pretty similar to filmwasting when I came to think of it.  Super cool that you used a disposable! Do you try to match up the fames? If so, any secret trick?

I really didn't  think that much about matching frames and let the photo lab cut and print at random.
It might be an easy trick to line them up, but I didn't try...maybe next time.
And honestly, not getting shocked was my best achievement.   8)

Love both of them, Becky, but double-exposures frazzle my brain...!  :o

Nice shots (I also prefer the 1st one). :) Very crafty use of a disposable camera, two very enthusiastic thumbs-up for such a creative idea! :)

thanks everyone!
I have been a disposable fan for quite a few years, just not the double exposure thing.
They are quite handy to have, disposables that is... and can be found for cheap at times.

I like those very much, Becky.

Here in the UK, they were very cheap for a while. But now, the price seems to have gone up. It's much cheaper to buy a very basic compact than a disposable at the minute.
