(And yes, we do refer to each other solely by our respective forum names at all times.)
We headed upstate to one of our favorite parks for a well-earned day of recreation, by which I mean six hours of seemingly endless hiking that left us both feeling thoroughly broken. Between outbursts of profanity, gasps for breath, and hallucinatory visions of soft, comfy couches and beer, it was decided that - assuming we survived - we would post a joint photo essay. So here it is.
I carried my 1933 Rolleiflex Old Standard with uncoated 75/3.8 Tessar loaded with Ektar, and my trusty Canon P with Voigtländer 21/4 and my last remaining roll of Portra 400VC. All the shots in this initial post were with the Rolleiflex.

More to come, and I'm sure limr will chime in with some of hers as well.

Fantastic colours! Especially like the 2nd and 4th.
Over here the trees are just starting to get a bit yellow. Often the leafs drop before the autumn is really in full colour.

He's faster with his processing! Mine will be up shortly.

I was carrying my Lubitel 166B for our hike, and it's a good thing since anything heavier and 02Pilot would have gone on to save himself and sent help back to pry me off the ground. Fool that I am, I had only one roll of color film for it (Portra 400). Curses! Still, I got some decent shots. I continue to be amazed at how deceptively good that little Luby is.
Here are three. There are three more but the dust spots have defeated me for the night and I'll have to do the rest tomorrow.

Nice idea! It's great to be able to see two perspectives of the same outing. Those colors are incredible. Makes me miss my home state.

For it being early in the season, the colors really were pretty striking, especially the reds. It was quite foggy in the morning, though, as you'll see in some of the shots below.
Here are a few shots with the Canon P and the Voigtländer Color Skopar 21/4. I'm really enjoying the possibilities that this very wide focal length opens up. These are posted in chronological order, so you can see how the light changed during the day.

The colors were fantastic, and already a lot more advanced than they are here, just an hour or so south.
Three more from me.
It was indeed quite foggy when we started out:

Damn, time for another city folk visit

No doubt.

Beautiful colors, I also like the foggy shots. The leaves are changing here on the West coast but there is still a lot of green.
-
wow! beautiful autumn shots from both of you. nice with a combo post like this :)
I continue to be amazed at how deceptively good that little Luby is.
I wholly agree! if I didn't get confused by all the levers on mine, I'd use it more. light and sharp!
-
Thanks guys. We've been shooting less color film lately, but this is one time of year that sort of demands it. The colors have been pretty vibrant thus far as well. I just bought more Ektar....
-
Yes, definitely more color was in order, especially since I had no more in 120! A pack of Ektar and a pack of Portra 400.
Since I only had one roll of color and I couldn't stand not taking more pictures, I loaded up the Lubitel with some Arista 200. Hopefully I'll have a keeper or two from that to share once I get it developed and scanned.

I know! Every time I bring it out, I have to remember what they're all for :)

Fantastic images from both. Congrats.

Nice all around!
I like the different looks of photos from you both... and that color just knocks me out.
I need more!

Thanks! We went on another (blessedly) shorter hike a few days ago and talked about throwing up some of the pictures. Still working on a few of them to tweak the cyan out of them and remove dust spots, but here's a shot (and a crop) of a little guy we encountered. He was trying to just amble on his way but kept getting blown around by the wind. He (or I suppose possibly a she) was kind enough to pose briefly before continuing on the journey.
