Title: Time for some fall photos
Post by: 02Pilot on October 14, 2013, 06:13:23 PM
It's that colorful time of year again, so it seemed appropriate to post some photos of what fall looks like in our respective parts of the world (apologies to those in the Southern Hemisphere). Please post some of your fall photos (list gear or don't, according to preference). Here's one to start things off.

Not to be curmudgeonly but Fall is not my favorite time of year (it is that time between lying on a beach and snowboarding) -- maybe I need to shoot some more colour film  ;)

Anyhow, sometimes fall looks a bit like this to me  ::)
(http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8069/8231916649_55429f3e7d_c.jpg) (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcduffco/8231916649/)

I have some colour film loaded so I will shoot it and try to be less melodramatic about fall, haha.

Haha nice shot. BTW, it is not that fall is not interesting, but maybe if I stop shooting BW for a bit, everything will stop feeling so grey.  ::) But I will be a rare Canadian and be ecstatic when its cold and the snow comes!!

While I promise to stop whining and shoot some portra, here is a shot from the weekend that I just processed...

At the risk of annoying people with too many photos, I'm going to add another one, and in all likelihood another one or two over the next few days (assuming I'm not overwhelmed with demands that I stop); these are photos I've already selected for blog posts, so I'm cross-posting them here rather than shamelessly shilling (not that I'm above that, mind you).

Okay, another from me. This was from a few years ago, and when I finally got around to scanning it, I didn't like that the colors were washed out. Autumn is supposed to be about vibrant colors, right? Slowly, however, it's grown on me. It feels like a faded memory of autumn.

I am still playing with, and enjoying, my friend's EES2 (much like the one Diane was graciously offering in Share the Love 3.0) -- I like building images out of even the most pedestrian of scenes. This was a quick test to see if it was working OK, but I kind of liked it...

Thanks. Don't know how I do it, but I seem to be able to get very nice lighter tones with Neopan, regardless of developer. May be because I am not afraid of overexposing it. The leaves were a light yellow, and caught the morning sun, which did help. Pity Neopan is no more.

I love taking pics this time of year, but I must admit, they usually are of the depressing "everything is dying" sort  ::) I will get much cheerier when the snow finally comes :)

But so as to not subject the weekend photo thread to the same sort of stuff from me every week, I will subject this thread to it:
