I just thought I'd send this off early simply because I just got a roll of COLOR film back from the lab.
Yes, you read right. François did color again for the first time in 3 years. I must say that mom's offer to pay for processing was a big incentive. So was doing a thorough inventory of the freezer and setting all this in Excel.
Here are a few bad scans of the negatives. I'm going to have to re-do it on the flatbed. All shot on expired Gold 200 exposed at EI 80.

Great shots, François! I particularly like the shot of the cyclist.
I strolled around the Harz Mountains with my family and made these two shots with my Canon F-1 on Ilford HP5+ (@ box speed). Developed in Caffenol-C-H (RS).

cs1, I recognize that plant in your first shot, it’s quite common here in the Pacific Northwest. We call it Snake Grass but it’s the same thing. It’s been around since the Paleozoic so I guess dinosaurs used to eat it.
Who says you can’t get Bokeh with a box camera. Closeup of Vera using a Series 6 Kodak Portra Lens 3+ hand held in front of the camera lens. Both shot with a Bear Photo Special box camera (re-branded Ansco/Agfa Cadet B-2). CatLABS X Film 80 developed in Beer.

Also love the horsetail and the close-up dog.
Chiming in with the box camera blurriness. Here are the first 2 test shots from a Kodak Brownie Six-20, which I modified slightly to accept 4x5 film.
Somehow the resulting camera is less sharp (even than a pinhole) although i only changed the back end of the camera. Not sure if I am just out of focus, but it doesn't look like. Still like the resulting effect. Film is Ilford Delta 100.

I must admit that it felt weird to see color prints.
And by the way Becky, I'm glad you liked the picture of the back of the Chinese restaurant . I can guarantee that the picture is better than the food they serve! ;D

A quiet moment, reviewing pictures. What I've noticed with my grandson is that, when we're out on a photo walk, he ignores the image playback while he's actively shooting and waits until he needs a rest break to review his shots. It's not anything I taught him, but it's refreshing to watch him develop habits that will serve him downstream when I have him shooting film more regularly.

Yesterday I took the Intrepid 4x5 to a waterfall. I exposed FP4+ at EI80 and developed at N-1 to avoid burning the highlights.

Very nice shots, everyone!
These two are from last weekend. I decided to take a stroll around the Philly waterfront before the thunderstorm that was approaching hit. Shot on Kodak Tri-X pushed to 800 in Rodinal, with a red filter. Canon EOS Elan 7n and the 50mm 1.8. Gave it a "sepia toning" after I scanned them.

Peter gave me permission to post this even though it's no longer the weekend :D
Test shots on TMax 3200 @6400. I stand developed these in HC110, because although Kodak has a published time for HC110B @6400, when I tried that last time the results were too grainy for me. Stand developing did tame the grain a bit, but I'm still preferring my Tri-X @1600.

Besides, my birthday always falls during a long weekend. You can't beat that :)

I also discovered that these photos look tons better when squashed into Instafacepix size ;D I was trying to show Peter how bad they looked, but I could only show him on Instafacegrambox and I looked at them again and thought "hey, they're not that bad after all" :D
