Flickr sent me to this "hey, we're changing the way you log in" page, and being an early adopter, I went through the process and updated my email and password (Flickr was federated with Yahoo, and I don't use my Yahoo email anymore, so I was happy to change emails) and got to the "success! you've updated your account!" page. So I logged out and tried to log back in using my new info and it said it didn't recognize the email/username. Ok, it must have fucked up and not actually updated my account. So fine, I tried to log in using my old Yahoo email. IT STILL SAYS EMAIL NOT RECOGNIZED. Got dammit Flickr, this may be the last straw. Buh bye.

That really sucks. And just think that your photos are now stuck there.
Surely there's an option to send a temporary login code?
Maybe if you open the Yahoo mail and check there you will find a sort of confirmation message to authorize the switch?

Nope, nothing in the Yahoo account. I've written to support, but honestly I'm quite over Flickr anyways so I'm not that bothered really. But let's see if support comes through.
They just became SmugMug, right? Maybe this is their way of forcing me to switch ;D

So far the only reliable places for long term storage have been Flickr and Google Photos......
Instagram is just feeding Zuckerberg some more.

By recovery you mean "forgot password"? I tried that too and it threw me into an endless login page loop ::)

yes forgot password. not sure. maybe... try username instead of email as i was a old flickr user and used a username instead of email originally. i'm still confused on what login I need to use.

I just did it and it works fine. I kept my password the same, the only difference is now it uses my email address instead of my old user name.

a few days ago i had to use my previous login. today, i notice that devices that had my previous login no longer work and now requires my new one.

Here's my update: I heard back from Flickr support and they asked me to send them a copy of my ID. I was like, sure, but you realize my ID doesn't say Indofunk? :-\ And nowhere in my Flickr profile do I have my real name? Anyways, I sent it over, let's see if they say anything.
Why can't they just send an email to one of my registered email addresses like a normal online service?
