While I was trying to find pictures of Miroslav Tichy's cameras in order to try and figure out how their shutters worked I stumbled onto this
https://nomadisbeautiful.com/travel-blogs/photography-quotes/
100 photography quotes... some pretty insightful stuff there.

Aww man, I thought it was gonna be stuff like....
"The best way to make money from photography is to sell your cameras"
or,
"Photographers are psychopaths. First they frame you, then they shoot you, then they hang you up on the wall!"
or, (this one I just discovered by Googling and it may be my favorite quote now)
"Back off, I'm a photographer!!
Ok, stop right there. Now a little to the left ... no, your left ... now turn a little towards the sun ... tilt your chin up ... little more ... little more ... wait, now down a bit. Ok, perfect. Now hold that position. The light should be perfect in a couple of hours."

Or, it could be like those Grand Canyon pictures that go.
To the left, a bit more, a few feet more as you're blocking the full view of the canyon, AHHHHHHHH!, Oops!, I guess that was a bit too far to the left, do we have a spare model? I think the other one will bee too scratched-up to pose...

Reading recent news you don't even need a photographer directing you to fall to your death or get mauled by a wild animal. People manage to do that by themselves when taking selfies...

Pretty much where the inspiration came from...
But on the up side these people are probably going to receive a Darwin award that will make their family proud :o

Not sure where I saw it, but it went something like this:
o 17mm Architecture
o 21mm Street
o 35mm Wide angle
o 50mm Normal use
o 85mm Portraits
o 250mm Sports
o 1200mm No Known Uses
-
Love the no known uses part :)
I got two 500mm lenses and I think I used them four or five times. That includes once with a doubler!
While not very useful, they're still fun to use.

"$14.99 for a roll of Provia?!?!?!" - Me, the other day.
-
Yikes! That's what I call a price hike.

Reminds me of the time Hasselblad cameras came with Kodak lenses because German built Zeiss lenses were not good enough.... I think there is food for thought in there for many industries.
