The last time I bought any Fuji film was some 35mm Velvia 100f ahead of our trip along R66 in October 2013. Even back then, they were winding down stocks and putting up prices.

It's a shame as they used to make some of the best film around. However, there's still loads of choice out there and I'll be supporting those companies that support film photographers.

For me, Ilford and Kodak are my film companies of choice.  I try others as well...but my main companies are those two.  Just bulked up on Ektachrome for a long hike.

That price hike will not harm the patient e6 shooters in the US much: people won't buy the film and it'll languish until B&H applies their normal short dated film discount. I call it the Fujichrome multiplier.   ;D

Ive been known to do that in many stores.
When I really want something but don't want to pay their price, I just keep count of the inventory and wait until it's the end of the season.
Sometimes when they have only one item left, I ask for a better price...
