I'm really liking the mojo behind it thinking of it like a good starter camera so the user can use the parts to build their next camera if they want :)

You just gotta love a DIY camera.
Too bad not more companies make them as I've already assembled the Konstructor and the Recesky...

Interesting. However the article contains a factual error. It says the seller of this started with the "successful Nubox 1 box camera". The funding goal was successful, but delivery of promised rewards are 6 months beyond original estimate. He says the project is "delayed", but offers no estimate of how much longer backers will have to wait. A couple of backers are really irate and and now the creator is mad at them and won't respond to their complaints. The whole thing has turned into yet another Kickstarter platform mess. Now, I'm not a backer and fortunately didn't put my money into this thing. (In fact I just won't back any Kickstarter, period. The four I backed soured me on the whole crowd funding model.)
