There's usually a good turnout from Filmwasters and lots of gear to oggle at and bargains to buy!

I'm now double booked that day, so will be there first thing, if at all, which hacks me off, because I'm looking for a few bits & pieces at the moment.

It's in my calendar before anyone else gets in there (hopefully not). Been decades since I last went to such an event, should be interesting.

This always seems to fall on the same weekend as the IRB rugby 7s at Twickenham, which is a regular for the boys and me... maybe I'll get to photographica one year when the kids no longer wish to be seen in public with their ol' dad..!

Nice one, Paul. Thanks for the reminder. Is this a new venue, or has the usual place changed its name? The 21st is the same day as my father-in-law's birthday, so I may, or may not be roped into doing some family stuff, but we'll see. I missed last year, but am going to try and make it this time.

Same place, Ed - probably the same bloody Saga-Lout, blue-rinsers with their shopping trolleys re-modelled by the Robot Wars teams as well. This time I'm fitting shin pads and knuckle-dusters :o

Well... you could always opt to scare them instead with a spiked leather jacket covered by some heavy metal imagery ;)

That may be a good plan, Francois. I usually wear a tee shirt sporting my favorite (Canadian, no-less :o) rock band's colours - so I might just spruce up my denim jacket with some industrial ironmongery.

There's always the solution of using liberal amounts of synthetic moose musk... smells just as good as the real thing ::)

I'm sure we'll bump into one another as we peruse the various stands, however, if we don't, how about heading for the cafeteria on the mezzanine at about 11:30?

Okay then.......
Lara and I are definitely going - with the express intention of being there at 10:00 opening. However Greater Anglia (nothing Great(er) about them in my experience) has conspired to do a part bus replacement service. This shouldn't stop us being there at the appointed hour - so long as we can be on the train "bit" of the journey by about 07:00.
For those who don't know me, I'll be wandering around with a very blue coloured Billingham Hadley bag. As per an earlier thread, we'll head for the tea and cake stand about 11:30. It'd be great to meet up with you all.

Although the forecast for right this minute says SUN, and it's actually chucking it down outside, I believe I'll get a dry day's drive tomorrow morning. Just hope the Cromwell Road is clear.
