Yours truly and another infamous filmwaster, Tread, will be showing five out of the 74 photos chosen by juror Anita Douthat, photogram artist and associate gallery director of Carl Solway Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio. The opening reception, at the historic Loudoun House, is part of 5/3 Fourth Friday art walk in the Lexington art district.
For those not in the know, the 5/3 stands for Fifth Third Bank, otherwise known in my 'hood as the bank that can't do the math. I mean, why 5/3? Why not 1-2/3? Or 1.67? Anyhow, it's name does not inspire confidence IMHO....
If fellow filmwasters just happen to be in the Lexington area, stop by, see some great photography and, in particular, look for two guys -- one bearded and the other bald -- with crappy cameras in one hand and Kentucky Eagle Beers in the other.

welldone - excellent :)

That's great Bill! Tread too of course. Photographs of the show would be interesting; always like to live these events from afar... Enjoy!
-
congratulations from here also!
pictures would indeed be cool.

Congratulations, Bill! Tread!
I have tried to roust Tread for a meetup these past couple of summers. Lexington has a long held mystique for me in that I am a Ralph Eugene Meatyard disciple or flatter myself to think so. That guy's work kind of kills me. Good luck.

Nice. Well done the both of you. Hope it's a fun time.

I checked this show out last year (I think?), and the venue is top notch for presentation. Of course, I love Lexington. :) (and I have friends who work at 5/3rd bank.... ;) )
I wish I could pop that way this year. It's only 2 hour drive with the pedal down, but I have to work all that day. I wonder if my kids would like a road trip next weekend? :)
Have a good time and tip a cold one for me, ok?
-
tip one for me too, just don't drive afterwards.....
I'd love to make it out that way, sounds intriguing and wonderfully rich with full doses of culture.
Cheers and all that gooshy happy stuff!
