I haven't kicked off a thread for ages.  Well, I haven't had a Friday off work and been at home simultaneously for ages....

This is an old roll-top bath on a path that runs alongside the wall around Whitby Abbey.  Leica MP+35mm Summicron+XP2 Super

33 years shouldn't be too late to show this.

A hand-stitch of two Kodachromes that I took while walking from Kagbeni up to Muktinath one morning.  This is at about 9000 ft looking north towards the Nepalese border with Tibet, about 30 miles away.  As you can see it was quite a nice day, though being early March it was probably only just above zero Celsius.

Back in the day I had stitched other panoramas by printing them and getting out the scissors and glue, but I had completely forgotten about this one.   Thankfully scanning can create a cleaner result so it's probably just as well I waited a little rather than do it straight away back in 1983.

Sandeha that's a wonderful pano!

So pics from the cropover parade in the summer will have to do

I spent a few days in the Virginia mountains for Thanksgiving and brought along the Makina 670 and some Portra.  Still learning the ins and outs of color scanning, with pleasure and pain in equal measure.   :P

Lovely, lovely start for the weekend thread. Sandeha's Kodachrome pano is very beautiful.

I took a few shots of this rather unpleasant looking creature (I'm calling it Nigel) on the other day. I was using a Nikon F100 and a 28-105mm Nikkor lens with Rollei RPX100@250 in Rodinal 1+25, 7:30mins.

Sandeha, the Kodachrome is beautiful!

These are from a walk around my neighborhood with my Leica IIIa with an Elmar 5cm lens.  Shot on Tri-X and developed in Rodinal 1:50.

The hand prints are kind of an optical illusion.  It looks like it could be a depression in the concrete but it's actually raised above the sidewalk.  They put a skim coat of cement on top of the sidewalk to make the hand prints.  I think the long winter shadows contributed to the illusion.

Sandeha's Kodachrome is obviously going to get some love from this crowd (myself included). I also like Kai's shadows. I loaded some Ektar into the Voigtländer Bessa 6x9. Talk about hi-res! Here is the autumn sun sinking out into the Pacific.

That Kodachrome is lovely, if only that was still available *sigh*.

Super shots, Chad. Did you increase contrast at all or are they "as shot".  I'm hoping that the mono film for the Sofort is as good....

Thanks! I just cropped/rotated and reduced the highlights by 10 in Lightroom. Oh, I also got rid of some of the bigger dust specks.

Shamelessly copying limr's post, these are my images from the latest Postcard Exchange. I've also added them to the PE sticky thread - other participants please post yours there as well so everyone else can see what they missed.

You'd love the old city in Nice. It's all like that - a warren of twisting, climbing alleys masquerading in places as actual streets. I could have shot in there for a month.

Europe is like that. I had similar experiences in Athens, Santorini, Glasgow, and Vienna, in addition to countless other cities that I'm forgetting :)

Also, I love alleys :D

Yeah, I've seen similar portions of other European cities as well, but this was one of the most concentrated and most confining I've encountered. It was fairly crowded when I was there; I can't imagine what it could have been like if half the tourists hadn't been scared off by the terrorist attack.

well, it was the weekend!
My hubby and I did a nice walk around Old Town Albuquerque with Mike Connealy, who I think lurks here..
anyway, we took our Vivitar Ultra wide and slims for a spin and this is my favorite shot of the roll.

I have a thing for rusty old ironwork, wood-grain, blue, doors and locks.  This was almost an overdose for me!
