Ok time to kick off the sign-up for round 4 - register here.
Taking on board the 2 highest results from the recent poll - here are the new rules for this round
Each person will be given the details of another filmwaster to whom they should send one print. This is not an exchange, you will only ever send one print and will recieve one print but from different people. So John sends to Christine, who sends to Farquois, who sends to Jiminy, who sends to Millicent who sends to John - and thus is the circle completed.
Rules are few:-
1. Prints should be made from film negatives/ positives - no digital capture.
2. Prints should be made on a paper size of 10x 8 or A4 as a minimum although images can be any size upon this
3. Prints can be made in any way including alt processes, silver gelatine, inkjet etc.
4. Any comments/ details/ criticism requests are purely optional, although this can be helpful.
5. There is nothing to stop you making private arrangements to exchange prints within the circle, but that is not the purpose if this excercise
6. Those who do not send on a print after signing up will not be allowed to participate in future rounds until they have fulfilled their commitment (unless mitigating circumstances apply)
7. New members with no contribution in the forum are asked to get involved here before signing up to the Print Circle. We ask at least an introduction post or a few thread posts.
8. All participants will receive details of the person from whom they will receive a print. It is the responsibility of each participant to chase up outstanding prints.
if you have not participated in the previous rounds, please send me the address you want your print sent to by PM when you sign up - those who have already had a go, I should still have your details.
Deadline for signing up - Monday 29th October 2007 - midnight GMT
Deadline for Print Circle Completion - November 30th 2007

What the f...heck. I'll dive in on this one. I need an excuse to get busy with my POP setup again after a heady few days living the dream back in the summer. So yeah, I'll join in my first ever print circle thingy thing. Delighted.

Well, I'm new around these parts, but I'd like to dip my toe in the water and give it a go... Print exchanges make me giddy.
One question: Who picks the image?
Also, just to verify, prints made from scanned negs are acceptable?

Hi Jason - I'm sure you'd be 100% commited to participating in our print exchange, but we've had a few bad past experiences with new members making their 1st post to sign up to the exchange, then not sending a print and not returning to the forum again leaving people who had made the effort with no print in return. It's for this reason that we had to insert a few new rules eg. no 7 above -

get a bit involved here and we'd be honoured to have you join in the exchange - there's still a while to do this before the deadline :)
as to your other questions, you pick out whatever print you'd like to send, and scanned negs are fine

Understandable. For some reason I skipped over number 7 up there. I was sent this way by terrorkitten. Been lurking a little while, reading up on old posts and whatnot...
I'll try to find something to blab about then.
