Combining two of my loves, photography and cricket, I came across this article today, which discusses the central role played by an iconic 1905 photograph in the continuing legacy of legendary Aussie batsman Victor Trumper.
Trumper died in 1915, but is still held in the highest esteem by cricket enthusiasts, whose grandparents would not have been around at the time he was plying his trade. A testament to the enduring power of George Beldam's photograph.

Can't say that I follow cricket but thanks for posting the link - it was an interesting read and some great photos of the day.

Wow! Those photos are astonishing...and I love the details that the author gleaned about how they were taken. I just wish that there were more of them in the article.
