Last weekend's festivities in Cardiff yielded a couple of shots, including a travelling Camera Obscura, a suitable subject for pinhole.

And the guy was playing 50s/60s jazz guitar really well.  Reminded me of Charlie Byrd.

I like both very much Sandeha. The idea of long exposure shots is attracting me like crazy and yours are a very good example to me. I like the ghosts you obtained  ;D

Kodak Instamatic X-15F using Kodacolor Gold 200 expired 10/1992.  I had the lab push the film one stop.  This is the first camera I owned (yes I still have it), I think I got it as a birthday present in the mid 1970's.  It does bring back a lot of memories when I use it.  It's amazing how well I remember loading it, winding the film, framing and snapping pictures.

A really excellent variety of colour, mono and genres.

Mine's from last weekend's Great Fire of London commemoration.  It's a shot of the underside of the Millennium Bridge, looking north, which connects Tate Modern with St Paul's.  The original is on Portra 160 but the colours are not to my taste, so I converted it.  Exposure was about 20 seconds (guessed).  Hasselblad 503cx with 50mm CFT* around f5.6

Some (more) family pics from Holiday.    Scans by Filmdev... £7 a roll and turned around and emailed back to me within 4 days....    Hopefully get the negs back tomorrow so I can have a good play around with them - but all in all not bad at all I thought.

The last picture is of me, by Elliott (aged 8 or 9?  I can never remember)   I did advise him he would cut the top of my head off  - would he listen?   Still... I might start moving into the art direction side of things - seems easier to get someone else to pull the trigger.

That's not a limousine!
It's just an old Lincoln Continental Mark IV from the 1970's
These were definitely land yachts (5.7 meters long). Comfy like you wouldn't believe. Great in a straight line but didn't corner well. Thirsty like a cod on asphalt.
They weighed in at a bit over two and a third metric tons of Detroit steel...

Reposting from "worst piece of photo gear" thread (since it's definitely NOT worst piece of photo gear :) )

Due to Adam's (and Terry's) chiding, I took out the Polaroid 100 and shot some shots. On this one, the positive came out underexposed, so I tried negative recovery. I'm starting to get the technique down a little better. Most important thing: use good tape that seals all the edges well before diving in with the bleach. (You'll notice that only a little spot at the bottom left got hit with a bit of bleach)

I sometimes like to let the bleach seep under and blend the colors a bit, just for random 'artsy' stuff.

I got my France photos back from the cleaners' today (or something) and have been sifting through them. The Lucky and/or Classic Pan that I loaded in my Holga has not fared very well (or REALLY well depending on how lo-fi you want to go) and so I got a load of splotches everywhere. I also had a TON of horizontal scratches across pretty much all of my Holga negs. I clearly need to give it some TLC.

Full Disclosure Re Digital Manipulation: I cloned out the worst of the scratches in P'Shop.

However, with a dark red filter on a very sunny day, this photo still managed to come out really well.

Yeah, the red filter and 'lo-fi splotchiness' give it that "ultra-modern post-apocalyptic family beach outing" look. I dig it.

Well considering 400 speed film on a bright sunny day in a holga which has a shutter speed of 1/100 - 1/125..? and the aperture range goes from something like 1:8 or 1:11 it must be  ;D But I really like the effect and it also shows the latitude and abuse portra can take

MacArron: I'm always intrigued by water shots as I love taking photos in the ocean. Were you in the water when you took this, or hovering close to the surface?

Ed: I was in the water (to the waist), took that photo and a couple more of my girl who was swimming around, left the camera under a tree (for shadow and lower temperature) and back to the water. Really enjoyable time :)

As you can see, water was flat (a reservoir) so taking photos next to the surface was quite easy and not dangerous at all.

I've also done this kind of shots in the sea, but you need to perfectly control the waves coming if you want to end up with good shots and most importantly, the camera alive :)

Thanks macfred :)

Oh. I like this last one from Late Developer. Long exposure one.

I shot a roll of Portra 400 -by mistake- @ ISO100 (thought I had a Portra 160).
The original scenery was much darker than the result I have got (sun's position was almost on the horizon).
