The results somehow remind me of my Vivitar IC101 Panorama.
I wish it was a standard full frame but it ain't even adaptable...
Another camera that has fantastic results is the Vivitan PN2011 (if I remember correctly). It is switchable to panorama in mid roll and is looks good... I let one slip between my fingers years ago and still regret it. But, as they say, you can't buy every camera you lay your eyes on :)
BTW, the log ride is always fun during our hot summers. They've had one for decades at a local amusement park and it is always a blast to ride :)

hot summer...whats one of those?

Oh, I like your results.

I've just got one off ebay for 99 pence! I saw a site where someone had just cut out the panoramic frame to create a larger frame with an interesting border line. I'll let you know how I get on!

D, as discussed via email...I love these and cannae wait to see more. This could be a good find for you. I think the camera suits your eye.

hot summer...whats one of those?
30C sunny hot and humid with a smog warning and a humidity index factor that brings the temperature in the upper 30's...
The air just stinks with pollution (that spreads for 600km downwind).
Even a cold drink doesn't refresh you anymore.
Air conditioned places are full of people just looking for a bit of fresh air.
To sum it up, just plain miserable...

i like the first one, Damion. Is that your shadow at the bottom. It might have been nice to have seen the whole of you in shadow, Lee Friedlander like, or none of you if you could control the light. Is this a viewfinder camera?

The problem with it is the poor viewfinder... it's already hard to compose because of the gold frame around it that reflects like crazy... Enlarging the film mask will just make it harder to frame your shots (like it isn't hard enough with this thing).

thanks for comments,
Gordon -yes shadwo si me, more bad planning than anything else, was a lifeguard station on side of small exposed cliff in Cornwall, blowing a gale, wind, sand etc so i was quick and didnt notice!
totally agree a full shadow would have made it a whole lot better.

Nice shots there. Love the camera - one of my favs

This site is bad for my bank balance - on the basis of this thread I've just treated myself to one of these! (OK, so it was very cheap...)
-
I think I need one too!

I found one of these on saturday in my local Shelter shop - being a worthy charity, I tripled the asking price of ?0.50, and now have a viv wide. what speed film would you recommend Damion?

And they say there are no good charity shop finds these days! ;)
It's about f11 / 1/125 so I've been using 100 in the summer, 400 when it's dull. Try pointing it directly at the sun, some people seem to get crazy pinhole style rainbow effect flare.
I'm just scanning a roll I put through mine a few months back... some salvaged kodak 400 print film of unknown vintage dunked in some well used c41 chemistry here, so the colours are a little odd.

Processed a couple of rolls from my new Vivitar Wide at the weekend. I enjoyed a stroll through Brighton with it, shooting from the hip, with absolutely no idea what would endd up on the film. Had a great time!
And yes, it's a re-visit to 'Cliches R Us', with the shot of the local group of winos waiting for the off licence to open...
Apologies for the absolutely abysmal scans, by the way.
