Hi,
I was out of order for about 3 weeks, so not muchg new to show. Now I am revisiting my archive and thought it could be nice to show some of my older musicians portraits. And since I am a bit vain you might have a look at a short video linked at the bottom of the post. And please forgive me and excuse the silly watermarks in some pics.

Hi Reinhold.
The Voice in the Dark (I really like his name and his powerful attitude in front of the camera) and Juliette are very fine portraits, congratulations.

I love all of these photos, they are excellent and if I lived in the same part of the world as you I would hire you to take photos of me and/or my band :) Wait, where DO you live? It's possible I may be touring through there again ;)

Great set! A lot of diversity in the portraits, reflecting the individual personalities of the musicians.
Do you go into the portraits with your ideas or do you ask the people how they would like to be seen?

Yes, that's what I usually do. They were either made before or after a concert (f.e. Juliette, Polvorosa) or a little shooting was agreed. I don't like assignments but ask the artists/people if they would like to be portraied by me. One of the few exceptions was the Christoph Neuhaus Quintett. Artists mostly are willing "victims" who want to become the focus of intention, but can also be oversensitive.
Lisa Herbolzheimer, jazz singer, grand-daughter of the famous HR Bigband leader. She was rather exhausted after the show, a one minute shooting after I set up the single lamp. I only took 2 or 3 pictures and love her expression.
