Just a quick note to mention that this year's second-hand photographic equipment extravaganza is scheduled to take place on Sunday 17th May.  Have a look at the link if you're unfamiliar.

 http://www.pccgb.net/photographica_fair.html (http://www.pccgb.net/photographica_fair.html)

As ever, the venue is the RHS Lindley Hall on Vincent Square in Victoria and there will, no doubt, be the usual cornucopia of interesting, esoteric, collectable and mundane kit upon which to spend your hard-earned money.

If enough commit to attending, we could arrange to meet up for a pie and a pint - or even a photo walk....??

The last few years has seen a good bunch of FWs heading for "The Jugged Hare". Hope to see you there.
-
Doesn't seem like a year has past!

Count me in! Hopefully I might have saved a bit of disposable income by then...  ;)

Also... if there's any Queen fans out there Brian May is a regular visitor... I even managed to say hello to him last year.

 Paul
-
				I'll be there!

Brian May is a regular visitor

And if I had his disposable income I might be as well.

More of a Struts (http://youtu.be/Pq_BaUrFnhk) man myself.
-
He generally heads towards the stereography stalls Peter... it never fails to amaze me how he's just left alone to browse... apart from the odd group of Japanese students who crowd around him.

-
I could be tempted. I need to top up my supply of cheap cable releases.

It be well up for a wander somewhere to take piccies too.
-
I think i may pop along if I can.

-
Hmm, some of our friends moved to London recently and my partner would like to visit them. Maybe this would be a good weekend to fly over.  ;D

-
Last year, Photographica totally passed me by, so it would be great to make up for that lapse and get stuck in again this year. Count me as a "would love to" for now and I'll do my best to make it along depending on family commitments  (I know, you're all excited already!!).

Cheers for the nudge, Big Paul.
-
Just a timely "bump" up the list.....

Usually opens at 10:00, so be there early to grab a bargain  8)

Please PM me if you want my mobile number to meet up - especially if the intention is to head for a pie and a pint afterwards.  Probably as well to do this a day or two beforehand as signal reception can be a bit patchy once inside the hall.
-
I was looking at trains last night, no early one from Cornwall as its a Sunday, but I'm keen to go so will investigate options...

-
				Bump.  Who is going?

 Ed !!

 Just messaged Leon

I am going to drag my sorry non-forum visiting butt there

So ditch the family at the shelter and come along, pick them up later, it will all be okay  ;D

 Cheers

				Bump.  Who is going?

Lara and I will be outside the hall at 10:00 (trains permitting).
-
				Ken: Yes!!! I'm going :-)

Looking forward to seeing you all there.
-
I'll also be there... Moiz has tempted me with bringing along his samosa's again  :D

 Paul
-
Public transport from Cornwall is not going to work so unfortunately I'll have to rely on all of you to buy me all the polaroid goodies on offer ;-)

have fun and post all your bargains here!
-
Been away a while ... Reckon I could swing it, always need more "stuff".

 :)
-
I'm planning to go - see you there!

-
I'm very much liking the poster

but most of all, have fun! :)
-
Holy Take-Up Spools, Batman....it looks like we're going to be out in force this year!!

 8) 8) :) :) ;D ;D
-
I went to Photographica this year and doing so reminded me of this board again, and that I hadn't read it for ages. Specifically due to buying a Ricoh R1 and googling it and finding a link to here. So hello again.

-
Hello Ordinal  :) Welcome back (however temporary your stay might be). Hope you had a fun time at Photographica. We all enjoyed ourselves immensely.

-
I just so wish I had been there...

-
Great to see everyone yesterday. What I went back home with:

-
It was a fab day all round. Cakes, Samosas ... and some cameras too. Really good to see everyone again. Hope to do so again soon.

-
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and thanks again to Moiz for the delicious samosas and heavenly cup cakes  ;D

Even managed to pick up a copy of Debra Bloomfield's 'STILL'. An American film photographer that was not on my radar until now - wonderful seascapes. http://www.debrabloomfield.com/ (http://www.debrabloomfield.com/)

Really enjoyable day and fantastic to meet up with the team.  Moiz's samosas and cakes (as mentioned earlier) were superb.  Next time, we should arrange a proper picnic...... ::)

Although I don't "need" anymore gear, GAS got the better of me.  That said, I did some decent wheeler-dealing and picked up:

 - a mint (cosmetically) silver non-T* Hasselblad 150mm Sonnar f4 with a dodgy shutter - which can be fixed.
 - a beat-up and brassy (but working) black Nikon FM2n
 - a very nice condition Nikon F2SB (F2 body + DP3 head) in black with a 50mm/f2 pre-AI
 - a Nikon 35mm/f2.8 pre-AI, mint, in its keeper and boxed

-
Much talk yesterday of having a Filmwasters stall at Photographica next year to sell off all of the cameras we don't use anymore. I suspect it costs a load of money for a pitch and I also suspect that it's too much hassle for what it's worth, but I may look into it. Of course, you may need to be over 100 years old and have been a member of their Camera Club for 45,000 years before you're awarded a table (I jest  :) :) )

Damn, I forgot about the samosas and I was already disappointed not to have made it!
-
Man... how I miss all this!!

The chance to have a chat with a nice beer at the pub afterwards talking about the purchases, and whenever there's a piece of equipment I need... the image of all those stalls with a sea of cameras comes to my mind straight away   :-\
-

I must have missed the last couple ... Really great to catchup.

Here's the Korall 24 with the mask removed ready for some oversquare oddness.

Also picked up 10 rolls of assorted cheap Ilfor 120 & 135 mostly lovely FP4.

And ... My offer on the Hassy was accepted ...  :) :) :)

That's a sweet camera, Miles........and well done for getting the Hassy. Assuming it's in good order, it should serve you well for years  8)

Cheers - Lets hope so.  Will be on the look out for a 50mm.

				Hi!

I was at Photographica this year. First time I was at the old hall. Last time I was at Photographica was some 10 years ago on the other hall.
 Sorry I didn't meet you.

I bought a Kodak Retinette IB and finally managed to find an OM 35mm f/2.8 Zuiko that was within my price.
Hope to be there next year.
