Hello All,
I'm excited to joint the forum, I've been stalking you for a month or so. I'm just getting back into film photography after about a 20 year hiatus, (since college) and am excited to cram one more time-sucking and finance-draining hobby into my busy life. I'm a Chef by trade here in Seattle WA, with a tiny Italian restaurant, and live in the heart of the city. Currently my favorite time to shoot is in the wee hours of the morning -before the sun rises.
My main camera is a Yashica Mat 124g, and I just finished converting an old Ansco Sure Shot box camera into a nice medium format pinhole, aside from that, I've got a handful of old medium format "thrift store" cameras. Here's some scans from my most recent roll.
Please feel free to critique, I'm just rekindling this old love and any advice is welcome!
Ciao,
Mike

Welcome, Mike. Great shots, by the way. Do you use tripod or push film?
Ok. I've just noticed light trails, so you do use a tripod. :)

Those are beautiful pictures! I am a big fan of night time B&W shots, and shots of urban decay :)

its good, welcome to FW

Yep, I have to use a tripod, my camera weighs 1 kilo! (and most of those shots were 3-5 minute exposures)

Welcome Mike, nice to see another PNW filmwaster. I live in Bothell and my wife and I are always trying to find a good Italian restaurant so don't be surprised if we show up at yours. Your photos are great, it's nice to see some places I recognize. I see the Highway 99 Blues Club in your second shot, great venue. Dinner at Il Corvo Pasta and then a show at the Blues Club sounds like a nice evening.

Mike, welcome and thanks for sharing the nice Shots of Seattle. I lived there in Lake City for a while before moving to San Diego. Not much to critique, but you will find this group heavy on helpful advice and light on criticism. Artistic merit is in the eye of the beholder and this group of Filmwasters have very generous eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of the city I still think of as home. Bryan does a good job giving me a fix, but more is always better! :)
