Avila is a walled mediaeval city located in Castilla y Leon in Spain. It is Spain's highest provincial capital and is noted for also being its coldest city. The old town is perfectly preserved and is dominated by it's iron grey, granite cathedral. My wife and I spent the week end wandering around this beautiful town two weeks ago. Yep - Madrid is Europe's highest capital city and Spain borders France and the Pyrenees forms a huge mountainous divide. There's mountains in Cantabria, Galicia and Castille, etc. Lots of ski-ing....

Wow. I too was going to ask what camera, and would not have guessed a Holga. The soft vignette and blur I had assumed was a cheaper lens on a metered body or similar because of the even and consistent exposure. Excellent technical work, complemented very nicely by your strong compositions. Skj.

Ok, ok, I get it, I'm a dumb American :D Spain to me means Ibiza, Barcelona, and the Spanish Riviera ;D Although I have been to Madrid, in October, and remember that even though all the plazas and outdoor restaurant seating were open, they had to have those ridiculous money-wasting heat lamps to keep people warm... :o
