: One Subject, one roll. Days Lock on the Thames
: Pete_R February 01, 2015, 10:07:48 PM
And in this case, one camera and one lens - Mamiya 645 and Zeiss Jena 180mm f/2.8. I was testing the lens. I like the results but I don't like the lens. Too big and heavy and mine has stiff focussing which makes it difficult to use.

Beautiful photos Peter.  I know you say you don't like it but if that lens helps you produce those results, it's worth persevering with.....

Great set Peter, reminds me of the locks in Seattle, a place I love to visit.  I've had some luck loosening up a lens by heating it with a hair dryer and moving it a lot, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Wonderful shots Peter. #'s 4 and 6 stand out for me. Especially the lonely boat in #6. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful series Peter!
I like the compression you get with the long lens. It always makes a nice change in landscape photography.

Think I have the answer. Just made a succesful bid on one of these...

Mamiya 200mm f/2.8. A bit longer focal length but I'm sure much easier to use. As much as I like Zeiss gear I think this is one that will be going back on the bay.

200mm/f2.8?  Nice...!!  Well, if it's as good as the other Mamiya lenses I've owned and used in the past, it should help you to produce some equally lovely photos.
