Hi,
I just bought a Luc shutter and found that none of my cable releases work with it. The pin of my releases extends about 1-1.3 cm beyond the screw tip. For this shutter it would need to extend at least 2cm. Does anyone here know a type of cable release with a longer pin?
My other option would be to modify a release.
Thanks for any tips!

I checked a few of mine and found that the Bolex cable releases had the longest throw. The shorter ones were around 1.8 cm but my longest one has about 2.4 cm. that was a 100 cm long cable for the H8 and H16 cameras. They are well built but you may pay a bit extra for the name.

The one I got at Adorama extends 2cm. I can't remember which one it was, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were this one (http://www.adorama.com/CZCR10.html).

Great! Thanks a lot. I will have a look and give one of those a try.

I got a Bolex cable release cheap from ebay and it works perfectly. Thanks again for the tip! :)
