That is pretty cool, Paul.  However, I can see two issues:

1) It looks bigger than my garden  :o
2) I really don't see Braintree District Council allowing the planning permission.... :'(

I want one!

I don't have deed restrictions so it could happen...but unlikely to since I need to build another observatory.

Rolleiflex shaped observatory?
Make the top half turn like a turret on a golf ball bearing and the roof open on hinges and garage door sliders... or something like that.
