These next three were taken at the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. It has been converted into the National Civil Rights Museum and preserved to look like it did on that day in 1968. The two cars are the same make and model of the ones that were present in the photos taken after his assassination. He was staying in room 306 at the time.

This is the former location of STAX records which has been converted into the STAX Museum of American Soul Music. Had they allowed pictures to be taken inside I would have tried to get one of Isaac Hayes' 1972 gold-trimmed, peacock-blue Cadillac El Dorado. The price of admission is worth it just to see that pimped car with white fur carpet.

Beale Street at night. This is where you go to hear the Blues and Jazz that Memphis is famous for.

Beautiful photos!
-
Great shots, Bryan. I should take my Yashica Electro 35 GSN for a walk soon. :)
-
Lovely punchy colours. I really like the Room 306 shot. You can almost sense the tragedy, 45 years later.

Ektar is an amazing film. Great colors! I especially like the nightshot, it's almost like you staged the shot and cleared everyone off the streets :) Must have been a relatively long exposure?
