We ran this last year and it was such huge fun that we thought we'd do it again.
Send us the photo - taken in 2013 - of which you're proudest; the one where everything worked out just right (whether by design, or otherwise!), the one that makes you smile. Remember to please include a sentence or two about why you chose this particular photo.
Unless you're incredibly indecisive - or haven't taken a decent photo in 12 months - it's hard to see why you wouldn't want to get involved in this collaboration, so let's give 2013 a memorable photographic send off!
There is no 'time served' rule with these collaborations so don't worry if you only registered with us a week ago. Conversely, if you registered 6 years ago, but haven't visited the site site for the last 5, that doesn't matter either. Join in. The work we receive is always diverse and high-quality and the more people that get involved, the better the resulting gallery will be.

Basic requirements:
JPEG Requirements: One JPEG image. Not larger than 800 pixels in length or width. No more than 200kb.
PLEASE use ONLY your name in the image file (e.g. "Edwin Land.jpg")
**ALSO INCLUDE**
1. A sentence or two about why you chose this particular photo.
2. The camera, process and/or type of film used.
4. Your website or blog address that you'd like listed.
EMAIL SUBMISSIONS to filmwasters [at] gmail.com (please write "Best Shot 2013" in the subject field so we can find them easily in our overflowing mail box).

Team, there's a shorter-than-normal turnaround on this gallery, but since most of you won't be shooting new work for it, I suspect that we'll be fine. Last year's gallery was pretty wonderful and I already can't wait to see what you'll send this time.
The deadline will be fairly flexible, but I'm aiming to get it posted by Jan 5th at the latest because I go back to work on the 6th and it needs to be done by then.
Please take a moment to re-read the requirements and try and name your JPGs properly, set the email title just so and not send files which are too big or too small. I'm expecting a ton of submissions for this gallery, so help me out and get on top of the admin ;) 8)

Easy really. Found I have been more restrictive this year than past years. Or just more busy, so not much to choose from. But all the candidates had something in common. The cameras involved were of the simpler category, if indeed a lens was involved it had but one element.

My humble entry now submitted. This year I've been shooting 35mm film almost entirely. I can't even remember the last time I shot with a MF camera. I think 2014 will be the same.

Even I can do this - it sits nicely with my lazy-ass-attitude to stuff of late.
Will ponder for a day or two. Perhaps under the mystic influence of Christmas wine and food :P

Thanks everyone (and Happy New Year!). The inbox is full to overflowing. Loads of goodies. I'll be posting the gallery out before the weekend is out. Am hoping to get onto it tomorrow (Friday), but can't guarantee it :D
