I gotta get another kiev body, dammit!

I really hope there's going to be an English subtitled version some time, I'd quite like to see this.
Apparently it's based on a manga but there doesn't seem to be even a dodgy translated copy of that on the internets.
-
I think this definitively settles the film vs. digital debate.
-
oh man. i have been pondering on a film camera script for a long time. may this be served as an additional motivational tool.
-
I really like Japanese cinema & this one looks as if I'll be able to follow the plot. Japanese youth loves cameras and each other. Easy.
-
Oh this looks so intriguing! I'm looking forward to the subtitled version to make its way stateside!

Och a didnae unnerston a wurd o' it .....................................but a liekt it awfie mutch 8) :)

Apparently its a story of a young girls self discovery as she meets people while she is making photos for her high school photography course.
Edit: I have a Japanese student staying with me! I know little Japanese.

Here's the official website

I think using Google translate might be a good idea ;)

Talking about Japanese filmwasting at this point I think I need to mention the anime series "Tamayura", where the lead character Fuu Sawatari finds new friends and is helped to cope with her father's death by using his Rollei 35S camera. I really get the feeling that someone involved in the production has a Rollei 35S, because of the number of things they get right.
In the second series "Tamayura; More Aggressive", Fuu starts a photography club and the one new member uses a digital camera (a Pentax Q), but admires Fuu because she uses film.

It's very sweet and heartwarming with the main character's love of film photography at its heart. Sadly there's no official english version, but there are dodgy subtitled copies on the internet which is how I watched it.

I was actually one of the few people who made some these dodgy subtitle video products... but that was in the late 1980's to mid 1990's where this type of product was not so common.
-
why are the girls wearing Victorian sailors tunics? All looks a bit odd to me!
-
It's a common school uniform, mostly junior high aged. Boys also wear similar european military derived uniforms. It was one of japans attempt to look more westernized in the 1930's and has continued because of tradition.

As for me, I kept thinking they were all fans of Sailor Moon :P
Just kidding. I knew they were school uniforms. Probably for private schools.
