Hey what's up everyone, I thought we should make a price check thread, to not loose too much movie on cameras ;D
So, is 70€ for a Pentax auto 110, with the winder, and the 3 lenses, a decent price ? It looks so fun !
Thanks !

Hi Yglotte
I have three of them! They are so cute. I don't know what I was thinking, but I get carried away sometimes, haha. Anyhow I think that is in the general price range, but not what I would consider a bargain price. I have seen kits like mine on ebay for between $50-100 (plus shipping) and I think that ranges from a "good deal" to a "bit much". Having said that, if you could get it locally for that price, you are saving the shipping.
In summary, no bargain if you are buying online, but if it is local it may be an acceptable price for a cute little system.

If you are buying the camera to use then keep in mind film price. Lomography, to their credit, have brought back 110 film but, as often with limited production the prices are a bit high. I don't know how much you will pay where you are but in the US it is $7.90 a roll for color negative or for B&W, that is for 24 exposure loads. They do have a 3 pack of color for $17.90 but not the same offer for B&W. I suppose it's not too bad a price unless you shoot a lot with the camera.

Thanks guys ! I think I'll pass on this one :)
One more question (yeah, i want this to be a "bigger" thread, not just about this camera): What's a decent price for a 120 Holga ? I want to try this toy-camera thingy ;D

I got mine on ebay for something like $27 shipped. Brand new 120N.
-
Freestyle has a ton of Holga stuff. I would recommend the basic model the 120N:

Haha you are going from tiny negs to big ones - I can't complain as u do this too ;-)
Like tintin I got mine on eBay for cheap. They can go for a lot there (like a lot of stuff as eBay) but if you are patient you can get them for cheap. I have a 120n as well - not that I am an expert on their variations.

I got my Holga (the one with the flash) and about 9 or 10 rolls of 120 (recently expired and decent film - portra 160, some Arista and some other stuff I've since forgotten) for about $30US with shipping on eBay. I bought it mostly for the film. It was described as "beaten to hell" but when I got it really wasn't in that bad of shape, at least for a Holga.
-
Mike that is a pretty sweet deal. They were almost paying you to take the camera.
-
More or less. Embarrassingly, I haven't finished the roll of film in that camera.
-
Ok thanks guys !
Mike, what a great price ! I might wait for a deal then
Edit: I found a Holga 120SF, for 25€. What's the specifications on this model ? I'm quite confused :o

It had a flash. Here is pretty accurate info and rundown of the models. Coincidentally in French, yglotte :-)

Always happy to receive the benefit of others' experience when trying to avoid paying over the odds for kit. However, quality and speed of service / after-sales service is worth a bit extra on the price,
The other thing I wondered is if this thread should really be in the "Resources" forum??

Thanks ! I checked out squarefrog's website, but I didn't find it :-\ Well I'm think I'll buy it, the seller is located on my city, 25€ seems like a good price, especially because I fear shipping taxes :(
