what are the light jet silver prints like compared with a conventional optical print - can you tell the difference?

Thanks all - I'm well chuffed innit

Dave - they look like rc prints. They are rc prints. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Ann - thanks .... I read your post last night and thought yes! I must do that immediately. So I did. All the people!e on the train found it very amusing.they didn't think I was mad at all. Not in the slightest.

Exceptional stuff, Leon. It's no more than the photos and you deserve.
Incidentally, I must check out light jet silver prints. Forgive my ignorance but are they inkjet / digital prints (as opposed to traditional chemical prints)? I've been impressed by the quality of some digital prints but they never quite seemed to be able to replicate the same look. If that's no longer the case, I might end up buying a printer after all (assuming it's not the sort of kit that only the likes of Ilford could afford or fit into the appropriate space...!!

thanks Paul
They are chemically developed silver prints on Ilford MGIV RC paper. The only difference is that the paper is exposed with computer processed digital files by pinpoints of light/ laser (not sure which) at a fine resolution.
I have a few samples of massive prints, and they look amazing. No loss of resolution or detail.

That's fabulous, congrats.

Congrats! 8)

No more than you deserve Leon. I must say that they are very reasonably priced!

Well played, The Druid 8) :)
It's all looks wonderful, but pages 2 and 3 contain some especially strong images. It's also good to see the 'shrooms getting some exposure. I do love those photos.
