All registered Filmwasters are cordially invited to participate in Collaboration Number 32.
--------------------------------------------
Theme: "Change"
--------------------------------------------
It's time to put together another Filmwasters.com collaboration gallery. This time the theme is "Change". Interpret it how you like; just make sure you shoot it on film (or paper, or glass, or tin) and include a sentence or two about how your photo relates to the theme.
There is no 'time served' rule with these collaborations so don't worry if you only just registered with Filmwasters. Conversely, if you registered 6 years ago, but haven't visited the site site for the last 5, that doesn't matter either. Join in. The work we receive is always diverse and high-quality and the more people that get involved, the better the resulting gallery will be.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Submission Deadline: Midnight Sunday, 1st December 2013
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Basic requirements:
JPEG Requirements: One JPEG image. Not larger than 800 pixels in length or width. No more than 200kb.
PLEASE use ONLY your name in the image file (e.g. "Bob Capa.jpg")
**ALSO INCLUDE**
1. A sentence or two about why you chose this particular photo.
2. The camera, process and/or type of film used.
4. Your website or blog address that you'd like listed.
EMAIL SUBMISSIONS to filmwasters [at] gmail.com (please write "Change" in the subject field so we can find them easily in our overflowing mail box).
Regards,
The Filmwasters Team

Is the deadline Sunday, 3rd November or Friday, 1st November?

Submission Deadline: Midnight Sunday, 1st November 2013

Really? That's tomorrow Ed ... Also it's not a Sunday ;) But 1st December is.
-
I hope not. I don't even get out of bed that fast.
-
Great, I've only gone and sent that erroneous date out to a couple of thousand people. Doh! That will teach me for trying to sneak some FW business into my working day.
Yes, Sunday 1st December. I have changed the date in this post, but those emails have flown already.
Well spotted.
;D ;)
-
Do worry Ed in keeping with collaboration title, you just had to change the date. ;D ;D
-
Perfect!
I have ideas this time!
Thanks Ed! 8)
-
I really like this theme since it's a subject that's been on my mind quite a bit these days. The wheels are starting to turn...
-
Phew! Glad to hear we do not need to crank something out in a few days! ;-)
-
nice ambiguous title, can fit anything into that - nice ! 8)
-
I'm going to have a go, after an idea just this moment popped into my head.
-
I'll have a go but will try to keep away from the obvious ???
-
Nice Ed! :)
-

-
Finally got one that works for the theme!
Boy was it hard...
It's sent in!

Do we need a confirmation here? Sent mine long ago.

Do we need a confirmation here? Sent mine long ago.
Don't think so, I guess it might encourage others to join in though if the thread is kept active.
-
Ed doesn't usually send confirmations. But he does check the thread and crosschecks what he got through the mail. If someone's picture isn't there, he asks for it.
-
sent!

-
this is actually kind of weird....
usually with this little time left, I'd be the one saying "aj, fan! better conjure up something quick! where's that polaroid film??" :D ;D
-
i almost forgot. seeing it that i am 7-8 hours ahead UK time. i may have still some time to check my stash.
-
This is definitely the time where Instax and Polaroid definitely save the day! :)
-
Or Direct Positive Paper. Submitted with time to spare. Just.

Good work everyone. I have a TON of lovely photos to post. Very exciting indeed 8) :D
I would have posted the gallery tonight, but I ended up building servers for a bank instead until 1.30AM, so I'll get onto this tomorrow evening (2nd Dec). Feel free to keep the entries coming until then if you just ran out of time for any reason.
...and Sean, fire away. Give me both barrels ;)
-
Collabs before work, bro.
-
Evening yet? ;D
-
arggh and there was me thinking I might finally make a collab deadline. had an idea as well... but no instant film to shoot it on and not enough time to lab anything out. will look forward to seeing everyones results.
-
Hi everyone. Two things:
- Tuesday is the new Monday
- I suck
:-[ :-[
That is all.
;)
-
I'm glad we get the classic Ed back... another version that is always on time would have me scratching my head and wondering if he's been replaced by a Replicant ;)
-
I think I may have misinterpretted the 'rules' and put a back catalog picture in rather than shoot for the subject, I'll try harder next time - sorry!
-
No worries, Dave. There's no requirement to shoot new work for the collaboration galleries...although a lot of people use the themes as a kick starter to get them out there with a camera, cooking up something interesting.
-
Goodness me; what a set of photos. I'll have to re-visit it a few times to take it all in but some interesting interpretations on "change". The emotions driven by life-changing events such as the death of a relative and birth of a child are difficult to portray but the photos in this collaboration blew me away. Exceptional.
-
Lovely stuff. I had a picture made ready, but for some reason it slipped my mind to mail it.
-
I'm all confused with there being 2 threads, so I'll just say again, Fab collection, and delighted to be included :)
Can't pick a favorite, I narrow it down to about five then widen it again to pretty much all of them. Well done all.
