Happy weekend to all.

For my birthday I took a trip to Harlow Carr, a garden near Harrogate, with a Mamiya RZ67 and Kodak Portra. Usually I use the RZ67 with a tripod but this time I went for a monopod; this worked well in allowing me to get into smaller spaces - and being less of an obstruction to others.

One self-portrait, with Polaroid 110 and Polaroid 59, I warmed up the original Pola as it came out too bluish for what I was looking for.''
After two years abroad I am really enjoying being at home, now it´s time to start looking for new job opportunities 8)

Amazing self Carlos...
Wish you all the best back home :)

With temperatures in the vicinity of 40°C I'd be crazy to go out for the shooting trips even short ones.
So, sometimes, I go out to my garden for short bursts of 10 minutes excursions, just to feed my
craving for photography.

You are right! I like that brand, I am not a skater myself, but... oh wait! I remember being a skater about 35 years ago, with those plastic and narrow skateboards.... ::)

Amazing self Carlos...
Wish you all the best back home :)
Thanks Sapata, and yes, I am enjoying my time here. One of my best moments is when I go to the supermarket with our car.... everything easy and smooth... no crazy rickshaws, no tons of dust, not hot as hell. Time to time civilisation and commodities are more than welcome :P

once a skater always a skater 8)

Great start to the weekend.......
Love Nick's wonderful lake-free view of the Lake District. The purple-ish shadows of Kevin's last shot is gorgeous and Calbisu's selfie is a great piece of work.
Mine are (a) a shot taken at a leaving do using a Ricoh GR1s and (b) a shot of what I regard as an eyesore - i.e. the shed on stilts at Aldgate on the southern edge of the City of London. Both taken on Portra and converted to mono.

Thinking of Fluminian, here are some boats!
(All Pentax K1000, Asahi 50mm f1.7, Portra 160)

Boats! Thanks, Leonore. :)

I love that cheap Agfa (rumoured to be Fuji) slide film, also kudos to Peak Imaging who gave me a superfast service (sent Monday pm back Thursday am)

Great bunch of images!
Here's one from my Diana F using Kodak Pro 400 color film then processed in Caffenol.

Nick - I love that LD shot, it's been a very long time since I was there.
Carlos - great self portrait!
This is tri-x shot at 1600iso, then I forgot and developed as 400iso! It holds up quite well considering.

I don't do colour. This reminds me why. I spent ages spotting the crud off the neg.
Just back from the mainland and now rain!

Hi Nigel, are you living in NY or just on holidays, is Photographer´s paradise as they say?
Hi Carlos, Just visiting, but it was amazing. Before I went I'd heard that every street looks like a movie scene and it's true, you've seen it so many times on the big screen. My trouble is I HATE flying, with a passion, if I didn't I'd certainly go back on my own for a week just to pound the streets with a camera and hang out, no doubt. In my opinion, if you've never been, it's definitely one of the few must see destinations.

Thank you for the compliment, its just cheap Agfa CT Precisa film, you can get it here for about £4.00. It is rumoured to be made by Fuji.
Just family snaps on my new 1972 Nikkormat EL

Cheap or not the images are beautiful, vivid and sharp. I'm buying it as soon as I receive my next paycheck. :)

Nigel, you hate flying? I am afraid that makes two of us :'( I´ve never been to NY, and I am sure it must be as you say, problem is that I have certain feelings about travelling to USA (no offence to USA film wasters), I feel kind of being controlled and then customs does not make it easier... ::) and then American foreign policy.. yes, yes, I know everybody does the same, but still. What can I do about it? This is how I feel, and Elena does not liiiiiike it because she wants to go to NY... sorry about the babbling ;D
-
Phil, nice composition there
02Pilot, like its simplicity
Photo Utopia, fantastic colours, it might convince me to use slide film, some day... ::)
And thank you all for the nice words for my selfie, the difficult art of self-portraiture... still I think this one resembles more or less to the image I have of myself.
Two more from Iceland,

Hi Nigel.
Flying doesn't worry me, it's crashing that's the main concern ;) That's why I always sit at the back of the plane - as I've never heard of a plane reversing into a mountain :o
Seriously, though, I'm sh*t scared of heights but I love being on a plane. It takes you wher a boat would take you months or years to get to and usually in a lot greater comfort.
Lovely photos of NY and hope to see a lot more. :o

I'm going to have to disagree there. I took an oceanliner from NY to Southampton and I was a thousand times more comfortable than I was on my last flight to Europe. If I had the time, I'd always rather travel on the boat than in a metal cigar 7 miles in the air.
And just for good measure, here's another boat picture! ;)

Wonderful photos everyone!
I took a little trip to the nearby forest yesterday to take some pinholes. There are a lot of bolders in the forest around here (remnants from the last ice age). Some, like the one in the picture, have cut marks as the Romans used them as building material.

Francois....that spinner shot is wonderful!
Thanks Diane!
It's a really fun camera but it's also very unpredictable when you don't use it like it was intended to!
It makes roughly 360°... sometimes more and sometimes less. When you use it handheld, you're bound to have wavy horizons. And when you make a vertical panorama, it feels more like something by MC Escher than anything else!
-
nice work everyone !
also nice to see Francois posting images - nice spinner shot ;)

I must admit it feels good to be back to converting those sensitive silver crystals by using directed photonic emissions ;D

where to start, where to start...
I prefer boat travel as well, but they don't come around my part of the world much... ;)
Great shots by all, mostly taken with Carlos' self portrait. I wish I could do that!
My offering is a pinhole from a converted coffee can.
Harman Direct Positive paper exposed for 3 minutes then marinated in caffenol for 4 minutes.
