: New line of films & paper from Arista - UK made
: jojonas~ April 23, 2013, 05:14:40 PM
Didn't see any mention of this in the forum so I'm dumping this here.
You think they saw an opening for silver rich films after Efke closing down?

I cant say for certain, bu they HAVE to be made at the ILFORD plant in Mobberly. There isn't anywhere else here that coats film and paper. I'm sure older versions of Arista have been repackaged ilford stuff - I suspect that is what this is.

Maybe it's coated by Kentmere at Mobberly :-)

I'm thinking either kentmere as it is already sold under the rollei rpx brand or something tweaked/new.
but yeah mobberly is most probably the source, if the efke machinery haven't found a new home in the UK, that is. Though didn't Adox buy that stuff?

Yes I thought the Efke machinery was bought by Adox, and I think I read that in a discussion here.

The Arista website is based in the USA (I think). I wonder where/when the first UK supplies will be made available...two new films in 2013 so far, not a bad start to the current film renaissance...

Kentmere is Ilford. Has been for 6 years. All made in the same factory on the same coating machine.
